I have a old style mixer the model is K5A. Will this fit?

This grinder fits my old kitchenaid mixer just perfect and works well, ground uder elk meat and rocky mnt sheep with no problem

I have the plastic KitchenAid grinder and meat easily clogs the blade and plate. Is that a problem with this grinder?

I did not find clogging to be a problem with this steel grinder, but it may depend on the meat you are grinding and the state you keep your blades in. The main advantage of this product, compared to the KitcheAid original, is being dish washer safe

Will this grinder attatchment work well with deer meat?

We bought it specifically for our caribou meat. Worked absolutely awesome!! I’m grateful we chose the higher end grinder though for our kitchenaid unit.
